One of the tricks with doing a conference is that the clients typically ask for a recap video to show the troops during the last day of the show. What few realize is that with all the green screen shooting between the conference meetings and the footage from the actual conference itself, you end up with about 20 hours of footage to whip into a coherent presentation the night before the last day of the gig. I shot everything on the XH-A1 which is excellent for run & gun plus interviews, but that meant that I was dealing with tape. Yes – twenty glorious hours of footage to sift through, capture, transfer, log, rinse, repeat – not to mention compositing the green screen interview highlights – all between the hours of 6pm and 9am. 24hr room service & about 8 Diet Cokes later, here’s the finished product.
Special thanks to Katy Perry. ;)
