Peerdrum is remote workforce monitoring software.
I desperately needed a way to monitor remote worker’s progress. Initial design/development submissions were tending to be far enough off course that with the time it would take me to correct them and give updated direction to the remote worker, we’d quickly be over budget – repeatedly. Peerdrum lets me see 5 random screenshots per hour from each of my remote team’s screens. It also tracks their “checked in” time. They can “check out” to pause the monitoring at anytime which also pauses their time clock – keeping billable time honest and accountable.
I wasn’t sure how I would feel having my screen monitored while working, but it’s helped me to avoid distractions while checked in which has sent my productivity through the roof. It’s much easier to ignore things like facebook, twitter, the news, & emails when I know the tracker is running. It’s also been a great way to show clients step by step progress and indisputably justify the time log. I use it on every project I work on.
